Trying to think back to 2022 and other midterm years. Is it normal to have a sort of dead period in late summer while general election candidates are being finalized and pollsters waiting for the magical Labor Day weekend where we are close enough to Election Day and more voters start to pay attention? Feels kind of odd that we have had such a dead period for higher quality general election polls, but maybe this is the norm.
